Luke 14: 28
- 30 "For which
of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise,
when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it began to mock him, saying,
"This man began to build, and was not able to finish."
Let there be no doubt that our redemption comes through
Jesus Christ...He paid the price for our salvation; we can in no way 'work' our way to heaven or into God's good grace.
Once we are born again... and we realize God has a plan
for our life, ..we were not born to 'live' for self, but to carry on God's work here on the earth.
Once we find that direction from God, it is up to us
to obey.
There are many, unfortunately that do not follow
the Lord into His plan for their life...and therefore are not willing to pay the price for they have their own agendas. It
is unfortunate because at the end of life...when we have done what we should at the Lord's direction, we have peace and we
know that when we face Him we can rest assure that we will not be ashamed for having taken the 'easy' road that leads to nowhere
but an empty life. Some are standing on the brink of eternity and wondering:
What did I do that made a difference in this world?
Some in pride will point to things that they wanted
to do ....but it's not what we want to 'do' - it's what does God want us to do?
Obedience brings the peace and comfort at the end ....it's
not too late...vow to the Lord that from this moment on...you too have counted the cost and willing to pay the price to follow
Him.
Following is an account of my call to the mission field
and then public education. My first call is, Christian......assignment = tell others there is a God in heaven that
loves them and Jesus is the way.
