THE LOST
*******
As I stand within and look outside,
My soul is vexed by what I see.
Infirmed and blind and all in chains,
From which none seek to be set free.
Man's mortal mind is earthly bound
By selfish soul that's spiritually dead.
God offers man everlasting life,
But some choose death instead.
Every soul may choose eternal life,
But few will make that choice.
And many will choose eternal death,
By the silence of their voice.
Satan blinds the mind of man,
So that he cannot comprehend,
The great Light in darkness shining,
That enlightens the hearts of men.
How shall the sinful soul of man
Be saved from sin that rules his life?
And how can he, who's dead in sin,
Choose for his soul, not death, but life?
It's the drawing of the Father's Spirit
That brings the lost to Christ His Son,
And it is faith in Christ, their Savior,
By whom to God they all may come.
O one who's lost, come to the Father,
Come now by faith in Christ, His Son.
O come and drink of life's water freely,
O hear you lost! Christ bids you, "Come!"
