FALLING TO PIECES

God made man in His image
With a will to change his mind
And He placed him there in the garden
And ever since that time
The world's been falling to pieces
One little piece at a time
Because the man in the garden
Decided to change his mind
He began to look for an answer
Since that fallen moment in time
But among those fallen pieces
No answer did the creature find
He searches for a purpose and reason
That he'll never be able to find
While the pieces keep on falling
One little piece at a time
Then he looked to the fallen pieces
Hoping there that he would find
Some evidence among those pieces
That would satisfy his mind
But the truth of the fallen pieces
Has escaped from the creature's mind
Lost in the depth of his searching
Will he know it if it he should find
He lifts his eyes to the heavens
And he says to himself in his mind
"There's an answer out there that's waiting
In the heavens for me to find"
He's a walking contradiction
To God's purpose and design
He's the reason it's falling to pieces
But that's never entered his mind
Everything for which he's been searching
Every answer which he hopes to find
Is waiting to be revealed to him
Should he decide to change his mind
